Congratulations are in order for Gentle Dental Peabody, Cambridge, Malden, Burlington, and Arlington for winning The Readers Choice Awards, 2008. The readers choice awards gives community newspaper readers the chance to share their favorite local places, services, and business by a voluntary reader poll through online and off line ballots.
We feel that winning an award that is chosen by the public one of the highest honors we can receive. We are always grateful when patients tell other about the great service and care they receive at Gentle Dental. The list of awards are as follows:

This summer Gentle Dental is a proud sponsor of the Oldies 103.3fm FREE Summer Concert Series! The concerts take place at the DCR Memorial Hatch Shell rain or shine. The "Hatch" as it’s called is located on the Esplanade between Storrow Drive and The Charles River in Boston. Acts include David Cassidy, The Guess Who, The Rascals, and KC & The Sunshine Band. So grab a blanket, and the family, and head down to the Charles to enjoy a fun, free, outdoor activity. See You There!

For the past 25 years, communities throughout Massachusetts have welcomed us into their neighborhoods. During those years Gentle Dental has been giving back to those communities and beyond, and 2008 will continue that spirit.
In March, Gentle Dental, via DonorsChoose.org, was able to complete the funding of a proposal by an inner city Boston school for necessary supplies. These supplies benefited elementary school aged children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The students require special learning tools such as a communication booklet called a Picture Exchange System (PECS). The school was unable to give funds for the materials to create these vital books. Through our funding of supplies, the class was able to make the learning tools they required, and to create interactive lessons, which keeps the students engaged and involved in learning.
We are honored and privileged to contribute to this amazing project and wish the students the best.
In the month of May, we declared “Dana Farber Month” throughout our offices. Gentle Dental has been able to be a supporter & sponsor of Dana-Farber Cancer Research through their “Surprise Party” event (as noted in the 5/5/08 posting). We were able to contribute to Dana Farber cancer research through a donation, and with all 24 offices on board, donation envelopes and signage were place in each office. This allowed for patients who visited the offices in the month of May to make donations as well.
The program was a huge success and we thank everyone who participated.
With almost half of 2008 to go, we’re looking forward to benefiting even more communities in Massachusetts through community out reach, volunteerism, education, and donations.

Gentle Dental of Beverly turns one year old this week! In celebration of their anniversary, Gentle Dental of Beverly is joining the "Arts Fest Beverly" on Saturday June 21st from 10am-4pm on Cabot Street in Downtown Beverly, MA.

Dr. Michael Chang, CIO of Gentle Dental Partners and Robert Girschek, Director of Gentle Dental Waltham, were on hand to present the "Gentle Dental Senior Endowed Prize Fund for Exceptional Chairside Manner" at the Tufts School of Dental Medicine 15th Annual Graduation Dinner, held on May 9th.
This award is given to a recipient who has shown excellence in chairside manor during their course of study at Tufts School of Dental Medicine.

We’ve kicked off the month with our contribution and we’d love our patients to help us to continue to support Dana-Farber, so we’ve made it easy!
